AquaBility training is designed to enhance instructor empathy, build communication skills, and expand ability to adapt and progress movement. The course is written for instructors of gentle aqua fitness programs taught in warm water and recreational-temperature pools. Specific aquatic exercise considerations for 9 health conditions are included in this resource. General guidelines for movement adaptations to improve fitness parameters while accommodating a variety of health conditions / movement restrictions are the focus of this course. AquaBility training is not intended prepare instructors to provide aquatic therapy, deliver health advice, or deal with unstable health conditions, acute medical problems, profound physical or cognitive dysfunction.
